Job Description

Corporate Loss Prevention/Security Officer

Provide physical security for corporate office; maintain badge access system; answer incoming calls to the corporate office switchboard; greet all visitors; conduct invoice processing; utilize Point of Sale (POS) exception-based reports to support the Loss Prevention team activities.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor lobby security to include unlocking and locking lobby area for guests, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Facilitate all activation duties for new hires, temporary associates, and contractors; manage, approve, create, and maintain the badge access system for the corporate office.
  • Update and maintain communication log for after-hours building security.
  • Answer incoming calls and transfer calls to appropriate parties.
  • Maintain monthly record of invoicing for department’s bills to be invoiced or accrued; process invoices for LP department.
  • Actively participate and support corporate safety message including attending safety meetings, identifying potential safety risks, and innovate new safety strategies.
  • Maintain monthly corporate phone extension list.
  • Greet visitors and sign for deliveries; call TM associate to announce visitors/vendors and respond to the associate\u0027s instructions; maintain the Visitor Sign-In Log and issue Visitor passes to all visitors/vendors entering the corporate office; keep lobby picked up and clean.
  • Communicate and execute badge deactivations of associates, temporaries, and contractors and notify other departments via Gmail of other deactivations.
  • Utilize exception-based reporting to monitor POS transaction activity, identifying trends indicating potential training or theft-related activity.
  • Miscellaneous duties; assist various departments with minor clerical duties (labeling of envelopes, stuffing, etc.) as time permits.

Education and/or Experience:

  • A high school diploma is required
  • Possess or ability to obtain a Texas security guard license, and CPR certification
  • Ability to utilize exception based reporting preferred; knowledge of shrink and inventory process
  • Able to readily provide support to the loss prevention team in a crisis with a calm mindset
  • 2+ years loss prevention experience in a corporate, distribution, or retail setting
  • Previous experience in a front desk role at a corporate office or office building with a combination of security and administrative roles including high interaction with public experience preferred
  • A successful candidate will have demonstrated adaptability/flexibility in an ever-changing environment with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrating a professional, thoughtful demeanor while maintaining a positive approach is essential for success
  • Problem-solving, with written and communication skills are required for this position. This individual must be able to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and Google applications are required; intermediate or advanced excel experience
  • A strong willingness to do what it takes, and go above and beyond, to support the team and office
