DC Network Operations Analyst

We are currently seeking a DC Network Operations Analyst to join our team where this key individual will be responsible for providing the DC Network with accurate and practical business data for use in planning and review to attain best in class results.  The Analyst will interact closely and collaborate with multiple business partners, including Buying Teams, Finance, SCA, Transportation, Allocation, Store Operations, and Merchandise Planning. 

Additional responsibilities include:

 Data Analysis – Communication – Network Support

  • Participates in budget preparation and review in collaboration with Finance partners to establish a comprehensive DC viewpoint in the development of operating budgets
  • A key resource who provides vital data to DC managers and assists in the development of tools targeted towards the optimization of budgetary controls
  • Acts as a conduit for communication. Assists DC team with attaining updated data from various sources and simplifies communication by establishing a single point of contact for DC related needs
  • Provides expense guidance upon analysis from historical data, volume trends, and desired outcome.
  • Analyzes updated volume forecast to prepare the DC network to react effectively, mitigate risk to store service, and optimize expense
  • Works with Finance/Accounting and/or other business partners to provide input on baseline forecasting models based on changes in category strategy, business conditions, and industry trends
  • Performs on-going and ad hoc analysis to supplement planning and decision making
  • Prepares and communicates analysis identifying strengths and weaknesses within the business
  • Interacts closely with various corporate partners to drive forecast consensus and improve forecast accuracy

 Supply Chain Efficiencies – Cost Reduction – Optimization

  • Partners with Merchandise Planning to project accurate Volume and Mix detail for better planning and efficiency
  • Compiles data for the DC network to leverage for cost reduction initiatives and to assist the DC in making better labor and variable expense decision through analysis on key areas
  • Compile and review invoice submittals with appropriate stakeholders to ensure compliance and budgetary commitments are met
  • Works with Buyer/Transportation/Operations to establish specific Supply Chain entrance and exit criteria for Distribution Center

 Teamwork

  • Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment while supporting the company’s culture
  • Responsible for fostering a healthy and safe work environment, focusing on the well-being of Distribution Center associates
  • Maintains and strengthens internal, external customer, store, and supplier relationships
  • Communicates and works with Supply Chain partners in Transportation, Planning and Analysis, Merchants, Store Operations, and Merchandise Allocation to flow product through the Distribution Center in the most cost-effective and productive matter

 Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Advanced knowledge of Demand Planning and S&OP processes with specific experience in Supply Chain planning
  • Able to understand statistical modeling concepts, analyze trends and design and create various modeling tools
  • Relevant industry and business acumen with strong analytical, problem identification and resolution skills. Be able to simplify and communicate the most complicated issues or problems
  • Strong Financial and Business acumen
  • The ability to develop a strong understanding of business strategy, buying cycles, seasonality, trends, market influences, and business shift as the relate to the potential impact to DC plans and projections
  • Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
  • DC/Supply Chain experience
  • College degree in Supply Chain Management or other business related field preferred, but not required
