Digital Marketing Manager

The Tuesday Morning Digital Marketing Manager is an integral part of the company’s Digital Marketing program.  This role is responsible for executing various components that support the digital marketing strategies.  Primary responsibilities focus on the execution of email campaigns to Tuesday Morning customers, website content updates, website merchandising and managing store location initiatives/store content. 

 This role will partner closely with email provider (ESP), website development, brand marketing, strategy, merchant, customer service and creative teams.  It is imperative that this role champion growth and new ideas on all digital channels while managing ESP, website and store pages third-party agency partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

Email Program

  • Along with the director, owns the company’s email program and continuously seeks opportunities for improvements that will result in more store visits.
  • Strategic Initiatives:
    • Ideates and partners with provider to identify strategy on customer campaigns to grow program adoption and engagement
      • Segment lists based on behaviors and analysis findings (i.e. past email engagement, website interactions)
    • Develops and implements execution plans for email types (i.e. trigger, campaign, newsletter, promotional)
    • Develops documentation and roadmaps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email. Plan, execute, and measure experiments and ESP tests.
  • Day to Day:
    • Manages email program by partnering and project managing the ESP and in-house design team to route, test, approve and execute all customer-centric email campaigns; engage with Merchant team to ensure email content is reviewed and approved.
    • Track, analyze and report on email results to cross-level and cross-functional audiences.
    • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
    • Manage deliverable processes and timeframes, inclusive of creative briefing, timeline management
    • Serves as SME re: ESP, data warehouse and website relationships
    • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners


  • Along with Director, owns responsibility for company website. Continuously seeks opportunities to improve content and usability to provide the best possible experience to new visitors to
  • Strategic Initiatives:
    • Partners with external development agency to identify new features/enhancements and project manage through the development lifecycle
    • Ideates and proposes recommendations to continue improving site experience, content and admin functionality
    • Serves as business analyst to document and provide partners with requirements
    • Coordinates creative and design needs with in-house team to ensure appropriate comps and wireframe documentation is supplied
    • Leads QA testing execution with consideration to key use cases and browser/device testing
  • Day to Day:
    • Responsible for executing customer-facing content and product display; ensure products are accurately represented
    • Responsible for creating monthly site refresh strategy and plans
    • Leads creative and marketing teams to execute site refresh updates accordingly
    • Ensures store provided content is leveraged and merchandised on the website to better provide customers insight to store experience
    • Collaborate with internal teams and development partner to create landing pages and optimize user experience; leads efforts to ensure the seamless execution.
    • Leverages Google Analytics findings to track and report on website results and behavior
    • Serves as SME on the website CMS
    • Manage store page provider and content to ensure store details are accurate in addition to optimizing page content for user knowledge.
    • Manage deliverable processes and timeframes, inclusive of creative briefing, timeline management
    • Proactively drives for consistent and effective communication with Store Operations and Customer Service teams to best research and solve customer feedback issues
    • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners


  • 5+ years of relevant digital marketing experience to include email execution and delivery, subscriber list management, CRM and email management systems, preferably in retail, strongly preferred
  • Excellent understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics, deliverability, and sender reputation
  • Proficiency in email marketing and marketing automation technology
    Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Utilizes competitive industry and business analysis to define digital opportunities
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Strong familiarity with the development lifecycle to better engage with development and strategy agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
