Job Description

SUMMARY

The DC IT night shift role provides physical and remote support coverage for the DC during operation production hours. The role is to support night shift on all IT related issues and task with minimal to no supervision. The positions reports to the DC IT Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.

 

                                                                               

General Systems Support

Must be able to work independently of the IT supervisor and arrive at a solution for the following areas of responsibility                                                                                                                                     

  • Work directly with DC personnel to identify system issues, analyze potential solutions and provide resolutions for:
  • Manhattan WMS
  • Network Connectivity
  • Desktop
  • MHE controllers, Print and apply printer and panel lights
  • Phone system
  • Act as liaison between DC operations team and application and infrastructure support teams for all system changes and issue resolutions
  • Work with DC staff to set up system access, troubleshoot login issues, application issues and equipment issues
  • Work with DC management to define new system requirements, develop testing plans, support testing efforts and provide training where needed
  • Work with DC management to prioritize issues and system requests
  • Serve as point of escalation for issues; accountable for following all issues to resolution

Systems Communication Continuity and Maintenance                                                              

  • Is responsible for all printer maintenance and creating a method for tracking and documenting this task
  • Is responsible for device inventory and configuration such as RFs, printers, desktop peripherals, network equipment and MHE equipment and creating and upkeep of the documents to track this task.
  • Is responsible for maintaining the issues log
  • Is responsible for coordinating the appropriate organizational partners to ensure the necessary resources are available to account for all IT equipment repair and upkeep requirements.

Communication:                                                                                                               

  • Provides guidance to night shift associates on the proper usage of devices and equipment 
  • Provides analysis to IT management of night shift issues and resolution
  • Informs IT management of inventory changes due to damage or loss  

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years in desktop and/or network support in a distribution center environment
  • High School Diploma, Some College or related certifications preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • PC-Windows troubleshooting
  • Experience in network troubleshooting a plus

Working Conditions:

Outside environmental conditions found in the Distribution Centers, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to  walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds. •CB*
