Job Description

We are currently seeking a Loss Prevention Security Officer to join our team where this key individual will be responsible for the role of a property security guard, to protect and limit the risk of Tuesday Morning’s property and assets by observing and reporting any suspicious activities to management and the proper authorities for follow up. Responsibilities include foot and vehicle patrols, access control, Control of Keys, Emergency Response and Notification, Public Relations.

Additional responsibilities include:

Results and Accountability:(70% of Job)

•Enforces procedural rules regulations. Focuses on Loss Prevention and safety of staff, visitors, and property. Maintains security and safety for assigned areas. Maintains working knowledge of the locations of various departments, buildings access routes admitting requirement. Checks ID cards of persons entering facilities. Provides information, directions, and explain rules and regulation. Checks associates packages upon entering and exiting warehouse facilities.
•Operates and monitors security control panels, alarms, and related security equipment.
•Patrols assigned areas including storage yards and other parking areas. Checks for suspicious
behaviors and occurrences and enforce parking rules and regulations.
•Responds to, and investigates situations reported to Loss Prevention.
•Opens and closes facilities based directed by Loss Prevention Management. Reports security and general maintenance problems.
•Maintains logs and records of occurrences, complete necessary paperwork.
•Performs loss prevention duties in warehouse, or mobile positions when requested. Enforces procedural rules and regulations and maintain security and safety for these areas. Assists with special loss prevention projects when requests.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
•2-5 years Loss Prevention Experience working in a Logistics/Distribution/Supply Chain/Warehousing environment
•High School Diploma, Some College preferred
•Valid Driver’s License
•Knowledge and experience of modern security technology, including intruder detection system,
CCTV, access control and patrol monitoring systems.

Working Conditions:

Outside environmental conditions found in the Distribution Centers, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
