Job Description

Manager, Supply Chain Flow & Analysis

In this hands-on role, this key individual will be responsible for leading a team of five associates responsible for overseeing the organization’s vendor compliance program to include vendor relations, training, compliance prevention, non-compliance, reporting, in addition to various types of analysis to drive improved flow, efficiencies and cost-saving measures in the supply chain function.

Primary Responsibilities:                               

  • Partners with multiple internal departments to ensure the program is strategically aligned with company goals, well communicated, effectively administered and updated
  • Communicates directly with international and domestic product vendors, constantly striving to craft mutually beneficial vendor relationships to speed the supply chain and minimize challenges with quality, fulfillment, accuracy, and delivery of product
  • Develop and maintain various tools/reporting to monitor and report vendor success and/or challenges
  • Identifies trends and opportunities for continuous operational improvement in Tuesday Morning’s supply chain.
  • Reviews and evaluates compliance requirements with other areas of the business to improve processes and stay on top of evolving business needs
  • Manages Vendor Performance and Compliance Tools – vendor scorecard, non-compliance issue tool, and vendor dashboard
  • Go to individual maintaining, enhancing and driving new vendor, merchant, operations, and planning & allocation on-boarding to include requirements training and compliance prevention
  • Takes a lead role relative to all vendor, product, packaging, etc issues that arise and works with all appropriate partners to resolve quickly and efficiently, in the best interest of the guest, the vendor and Tuesday Morning
  • Leads the team with various projects throughout the year focused on overall cost savings resulting in improved product flow, labor efficiency, and lead time reduction

Qualifications:

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-driven, high volume, dynamic business environment
  • Strong dispute resolution skills with a passion for getting into the details
  • Expert user of Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel (VLookup, formulas, conditional formatting, pivot tables, graphs, etc…).
  • Analytical by nature - must love taking problems apart, observing and utilizing data to get to the bottom of an issue
  • Committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
  • Strong project management skills to include time management and organizational capability with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
  • Possesses focused attention to detail, excellent follow-up skills, able to prioritize to produce quality results
  • Flexible, team player with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization (at all levels)

 Education and/or Experience:

  • College degree strongly preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in Retail Supply Chain, Vendor Compliance/Relations with a background in Analytics
  • Previous experience leading a team is essential

 Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Sits at desk; uses computers, copiers, phone, and other office equipment
  • Frequently stands and walks for prolonged periods of time in DC/Warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift furniture and boxes up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to Travel, once a quarter to West Coast DC facility
