Training & Communications Specialist

We are currently seeking a Training & Communications (T&C) Specialist to join the Tuesday Morning Human Resources team. This key individual will provide support for all training, organizational development, leadership development, and communication initiatives across the organization, including corporate, distribution center, and field environments. The T&C Specialist will also work in partnership with the Manager of Training & Communications as well as other HR leadership to administer and maintain existing development programs through content design,  administrative tasks, data analysis, survey tools, and observational feedback. This role will heavily support the communication strategy for the global safety program.

The Training & Communications Specialist must be creative in approach, easily adaptable to change, knowledgeable about current training and organizational development trends (beginner to intermediate), possess strong organizational skills, and carry the ability to build productive and positive work relationships. This person will play a critical role in the long-term strategy of training and communications objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate (ILT) front line to mid-level leadership, compliance, and organizational development programs
  • Manage communications plan and communications content for organizational safety program
  • Develop content for leadership and organizational development programs
  • Run weekly New Hire Orientation and maintain supporting resources
  • Create weekly and standalone corporate communications
  • Manage Communications inbox
  • Manage SMIT inbox and binder shipping
  • Serve as admin over Survey Monkey (LD/OD related) including developing surveys, responding to data requests, and managing collectors
  • Serve on Culture Committee as additional HR representation and support
  • Partner with Recruiting Coordinator to complete ad hoc projects

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as backup/support for the following functions:
    • SMIT tracking and weekly updates
    • 360 assessments
    • Succession Planning programs
    • Performance Management programs
  • Participate in vendor meetings
  • Support potential intranet creation and maintenance
  • Support Employee Engagement efforts
  • Assist peers and upper level leadership with content development needs
